Fast Edit: Writing back of data from IBM Cognos into the database

Fast Edit is the extension for IBM Cognos, which allows you to alter and insert data within reports and in the portal or even import it from spreadsheets.

Fast Edit combines data output with an effective data entry – by the click of the mouse and without programming.
Fast Edit is completely integrated into the IBM Cognos Environment and uses
the IBM Cognos Security.

Business Overview

Using Fast Edit you can open an input window directly from inside Cognos Connection or an IBM Cognos report, in which data can be managed. It is possible within the input masks to insert, to alter and in some allowed cases also to delete data.
Using Fast Edit you do not require further applications for the recording of data in the area of data warehousing and master data management. Fast Edit is completely web based. The data input screens are specified out of of Cognos Connection and therefore require no development.
The creation is so simple that a Power-User can work effectively with Fast Edit within a day.
