Virga Jesseziekenhuis opts for Forcea and
implements HealthReport
Virga
Jesseziekenhuis Hasselt, a general public hospital with 589
beds, is entrusting Forcea to fulfil its Data Warehouse and business
intelligence needs. Today every hospital needs to implement a
hospital-wide automation and consolidation of information that supports
its policy. The HealthReport
Data Warehouse gives the ability to build further on existing sources
of data, from IBM CPO, Siemens, Oazis, SAP, Infohos, etc., which
enables a hospital to rapidly extract great added value from a fully
integrated view of its information. Thanks to the implementation of the HealthReport solution, the
management and staff members of Virga Jesse will obtain an integrated
view at their hospital-wide information.

Forcea awarded distinction as Cognos Partner
of the Year Award
On 23rd October 2008, at the Cognos Performance 2008 event in Leuven,
Forcea was proclaimed “Cognos Partner of the Year”. For Forcea, which
is a leading Belgian provider in the management of policy information,
with a strong focus on the hospital sector, the award is the
culmination of a very impressive period of development. Although the
company was only founded in 2006, its HealthReport product has already
become the benchmark core solution for supporting the decision-making
process in hospitals. Last year, in 2007, Forcea was “Nominee Cognos
Partner of the Year” and the company has also received the Cognos Award
2008 for the strategic, innovative and professional implementation of

Jan
Yperman Hospital in Ieper further fine-tunes and enhances its policy
management using HealthReport.
Jan Yperman Hospital is a combined trust
hospital with approximately 500 beds housed in a new building in Ieper
and a polyclinic in Poperinge. Since 2006, it has steadily been
developing its structured and integrated information strategy using the
HealthReport application developed by Forcea. Just recently, the
hospital renewed its agreement with Forcea to continue providing these
services.
Jan Yperman Hospital has already recorded
outstanding results with its HealthReport
modules, the professional implementation of the system by Forcea and
the seamless link with the Xtenso Oazis system. As a result, the
hospital board recently decided to open up the following areas of its
activities through its HealthReport
datawarehouse: all financial and accounting policy information (SAP),
plus the analytical monitoring of the pharmacy policy (Infohos),
including analyses relating to the price-setting of medication.
“Jan Yperman Hospital needs to implement the hospital-wide automation
and consolidation of information that supports its policy,” states
Christophe Mouton, director of administration and finance at Jan
Yperman Hospital. “Forcea has turned out to be a highly dependable
partner for us. They provide us with day-to-day guidance in what we are
doing by steadily developing the datawarehouse. HealthReport also gives us
the ability to build further on our existing sources of data, from
Oazis, SAP, Infohos, etc. This in turn enables us to extract great
added value from our datawarehouse because we have a fully integrated
view of our information.”

Onze-Lieve-Vrouw
hospital in Aalst standardises on HealthReport.
Onze-Lieve-Vrouw hospital, a combined health
trust that operates 844 beds spread over 3 sites in Aalst, Asse and
Ninove, has selected Forcea to develop a hospital-wide policy
information platform.
Steven Creve, ICT Director at OLV hospital: “We
have invested a great deal in recent years on automating our
operational hospital processes. But because a hospital is a complex
environment and no umbrella ERP application currently exists for
hospitals, we have implemented a number of best-of-breed solutions to
meet our needs. These include SAP for our financial and patient
management needs, Infohos for the pharmacy and Oazis from Xtenso for
pricing and invoicing our services. But we were experiencing major
problems with the various operational data sources for maintaining a
policy overview across the whole organisation. Fortunately, our
experience has been very good with HealthReport
and Cognos for our Minimal Clinical Data analyses and Balanced
Scorecard monitoring. Standardising to the HealthReport Data
Warehouse now provides us with a high-frequency and integrated solution
for systematic hospital-wide policy that is straightforward to publish
and distribute.”

HealthReport
expands links with SAP and Infohos.
HealthReport, the unique integrated
decision-supporting information solution for hospitals, is constantly
being expanded to provide policy managers with as broad an overview of
their organisation as possible. Two recent additions to the tool have
now made HealthReport even more powerful for systematic, hospital-wide
reporting.
To begin with, the HealthReport Data Warehouse has
been successfully linked with SAP. The data warehouse already included
a module for monitoring hospital financial management.
Now the SAP data source has been added to the existing interfaces of
this module along with PIA (Ordiges), Fimacs (Real Software) and SBIM.
HealthReport has also been expanded with a new basic module
for monitoring the management of the hospital pharmacy. The new module
makes it possible to analyse and report on purchases, stocks and
movements of drugs and other medications. To do this, the HealthReport
Data Warehouse is linked with the Infohos (IHC) pharmacy application.
