Forcea integrates activities of Studiecentrum Gezondheidszorg
The Board of Directors of the non-profit association Studiecentrum Gezondheidszorg and Forcea have come to a definite agreement to join forces in the domain of benchmarking hospital data and the corresponding trainings.

The non-profit association Studiecentrum Gezondheidszorg has been developed over the past 15 years to a competence center in the domain of processing and benchmarking the minimum clinical summary, minimum nursing summary, medical lump sum, reference amounts, regional analysis , … Last year the BFM (Budget of Financial Resources) Calculator was developed.

Forcea offers hospitals datawarehousing and business analytics services, especially with the Forcea HealthReport solution. Lately Forcea is also active in the benchmarking area, mainly via the Hospital Hummingbird platform and a first application that concerns staffing in relation to certain activity parameters, namely People Performance.

The gathering of the knowhow and the competences of the Studiecentrum with the knowhow of Forcea for all business analytics matters, will expand the benchmarking possibilities for hospitals tremendously and will even increase the flexibility and user-friendlyness.

The acquisition will take place on April 1th 2012.

The Zorgdata-team will be step by step integrated within Forcea as from that date, both as regards content as logistically. Dr. Raf Stevens, founder of Zorgdata, will give shape to the collaboration for at least one year, and will specifically look after the trainings.

It is mainly the intention to join complementary strengths of both organizations: an existing high-technical and innovative platform, joined with a sector-driven approach, with respect for sector-specific sensitivities and in close consultations with the actors. The first phase of the integration of Zorgdata within the platform will be ready this summer.

H.-Hartziekenhuis Roeselare-Menen relies on Forcea
The H.-Hartziekenhuis Roeselare-Menen trusts in Forcea HealthReport to fullfil their needs regarding data warehousing and decision-making information. This West Flanders merged hospital comprises 3 campuses and has 883 beds. The 2 campussen in Roeselare, campus Wilgenstraat and campus Westlaan, counting together 714 authorized beds. Campus Rijselstraat Menen has 169 authorized beds. The H.Hartziekenhuis Roeselare-Menen chooses initially for the modules ADT (patient administration), MZG (Minimal Hospital data) TarFac (pricing and billing) and DocAdmin (management fees) and will therefore soon have an integrated data warehouse with data from among others OAZIS Xtenso.

The Maria Noord-Limburg hospital chooses Forcea HealthReport !
This regional hospital is situated in Overpelt. With 348 beds, the hospital is welcoming annually 14.500 patients, 16.500 day hospitalizations, and 165.000 medical consultations. The Maria Noord Limburg Hospital is the biggest employer in the region of North Limburg, setting to work 100 doctors and 900 employees.
More specifically, the Hopital Maria Noord-Limburg has opted for Forcea HealthReport Express to fulfill their need for business intelligence. The Forcea HealthReport Express edition is an excellent alternative for hospitals that do not need the highly advanced functionality of the Forcea HealthReport Enterprise edition. With Forcea HealthReport Express, some of the more sophisticated features relating to decision-making information have been switched off. This means that validation and implementation run more quickly and the return on investment is higher. If over the course of time the need for more detailed decision-making information becomes greater, Maria Noord-Limburg hospital can very simply upgrade to the Enterprise edition. Both Forcea HealthReport solutions have the same mature base and platform. In the initial phase, all of the MZG (Minimum Hospital Data) information will be uploaded to the integrated datawarehouse, along with the patient administration (ADT), pricing and billing data (TarFac) from the Partezis AZIS1 application. Staff members and directors from Maria Noord-Limburg will, in a few months, be able to take full advantage of the analysis capabilities provided by these modules and also have immediate access to 120 decision-making information reports.

The François Elisabeth Fondation group in Luxemburg has choosen Forcea !
The François Elisabeth Fondation Group consists of 3 hospitals in Luxemburg : Kirchberg Hospital, Clinique Privée du Dr. Emile Bohler & Clinique Sainte-Marie in Esch-sur-Alzette.The FFE has opted for a Balanced Scorecard approach, convinced by the importance of defining a good strategy.Forcea will implement a structure based on dashboards & KPI’s. This structure will allow each organization level to do the follow-up of the strategy by measuring performances. Technologies used will be IBM Cognos Metric Studio & Apparo Fast Edit. The FFE wants to base its approach on a uniforme Business Intelligence solution. Therefore, as first step, FFE implements the Forcea HealthReport ADT & TarFac modules. This will allow the creation of a datawarehouse and a structure of uniform reporting.

Forcea has been awarded “ASL partner of the year”
Forcea has been awarded “ASL partner of the year” ( ASL = Application Specific License), in Las Vegas at the IBM IOD conference. ASL is a contractual relationship with IBM in which Forcea bundles IBM Software with its solution Forcea HealthReport. Within Forcea HealthReport, Forcea integrates the ETL and Administrator parts of the Cognos software (respectively Cognos Data Manager and the Cognos BI Administrator capabilities), which entitles Forcea’s customers to use these Cognos components in conjunction with the bought Forcea HealthReport modules. Forcea HealthReport is currently used by 28% of the Belgian hospitals and will soon be deployed at some first Luxembourg hospitals.
